Florent Pagny has canceled all the remaining concerts of his 60th anniversary tour due to a “cancerous tumor” in his “lung” which “cannot be operated on”, according to a message on Tuesday on Instagram.
The popular singer specifies that he must “go into a six-month protocol of chemotherapy and X-rays”.
“I have just been diagnosed with a tumor in the lung, a cancerous tumor, not very sympathetic, which cannot be operated on”, first reveals Florent Pagny, who films himself in front of his library.
And to conclude: “take care of yourself, be well, when all this is settled, we meet once more, I will come to finish what I started, it will perhaps be for the 61-year-old tour”.
During this sequence of 1 min 30, the artist has a serious face, but manages to distill a few light words.
Thus, following saying that he is “sorry” (a word he repeats) because he cannot “honour” his stage “commitments”, he lets go: “you will still see me on the red armchair of (the show tele) The Voice, in great shape, because we recorded everything before”. “Between parentheses, very interesting season (of The Voice),” he slips.
While waiting to find his audience, the interpreter of “Knowing how to love” emphasizes that he and his “half” must “put themselves in warrior mode in order to face this rather special ordeal”.
His 60th anniversary tour was to stretch until July 2022.
The singer has received multiple messages of support on his social networks, including those of the presenter Nikos Aliagas or the singer Matt Pokora.
