This Sunday, in the program Sept à Huit on TF1, the personality in the spotlight in the “Portrait of the week” was none other than the singer Florent Pagny, who recently unveiled a duet with Kendji Girac.
A sequence of an exceptional duration of 30 minutes where we might see the journalist of Seven to Eight Audrey Crespo-Mara meet Florent Pagny at various times of his cancer. In France first in June 2022 then in New York in November 2022 and finally in Argentina, in Patagonia in February, where he went to live. TF1 had already produced a great report on the singer who had revealed all his emotions by evoking his fight once morest cancer.
Florent Pagny will be back on stage in Belgium at the Francofolies de Spa
In November, the French singer announced that he no longer had metastases and therefore seemed to be free of this lung cancer. He then explained that he was going to be treated in Patagonia and no longer follow his French treatment. “It’s not going to take over. I allow myself to take 6 months to see if I can have good results.“
But 5 months following having made the decision to continue his remission in Argentina, the French singer must face another bad news since new metastases appeared not far from the old ones which had disappeared a few months earlier. “I found myself a week ago with a huge fit of coughing where it reminded me of my beginnings of this story. I still quickly went to Buenos Aires and back to take pictures. And in fact, the images, they are not terrible“explains the actor who will return to France following this bad news, to be followed once more.
“There’s a ganglion that’s fixed. This means that there is a risk of metastasis. There is always something that ends up reappearing (…) I did not do the immunotherapy treatment so I have to go back and do it quickly.”
Florent Pagny therefore evokes regrets for not having continued his follow-up in France. “If I had been in France, I might not have this ganglion. And if I had followed the planned program, maybe… It’s a bit my fault.”
The singer, however, remains confident for the future. “We’re not going to freak out! We will do what we have to do!“
