The Uffizi museum in Florence announced Tuesday to raise the price of the entrance ticket during the high season. This increase aims to cushion the increase in its heating and electricity bills.
From March 1 to November 30, the price of an individual ticket to visit the Gallery of Statues and Paintings will be increased from 20 to 25 euros. This measure, supported “mainly by foreign tourists”, will make it possible “to cope with the increase in costs in the energy and building sector”, justifies the museum in a press release.
On the other hand, a reduced rate (19 euros) has been introduced for morning visitors who wish to enter the prestigious Florentine museum before 8:55 a.m. The other prices (low season, subscriptions) and the price of admission to the other areas of the Offices are unchanged.
