RALEIGH, N.C. — Phil Stringer was in for a surprise when he found he was the only passenger on a flight to Charlotte.

“When you buy all the tickets on the plane so you don’t have to deal with people,” Stringer wrote on TikTok. “(Just kidding, it was 18 hours late and everyone else gave up).”

Stringer shared his experience on TikTok where he was surprised that the crew was woken up for the flight where he was the only passenger who had not been reassigned or had their flight canceled following waiting for 18 hours.

The flight took off at 6:20 am from Oklahoma City bound for Charlotte.

Throughout his video the crew is seen having fun and taking photos with him on the flight.

More than 10,000 flights affected by storms in the Mid-Atlantic

In the past week, flight delays and cancellations have been reported across the United States due to severe weather.

The airports most affected by bad weather are those serving New York City (LaGuardia, Newark, John F. Kennedy), Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, which serves Atlanta, and O’Hare Airport. in Chicago, according to FlightAware.

The airlines that have had the most cancellations or delays are United Airlines, with 29% of flights affected, followed by Republic, with 23%, and Endeavor Air, with 16%.
