Many companies have made the organization of work more flexible.

What are the expectations of employees in Luxembourg vis-à-vis their job? This is what jobs.lu sought to find out in its latest survey. 75% of employees and candidates surveyed say they want a more flexible work organization. 60% mentioned the possibility of working remotely.

And it would seem that they are rather listened to because 76% of the managers questioned indicated that their company had taken measures to make the organization of work more flexible and 77% of companies authorize teleworking.

Telecommuting and salary to retain employees

“Being able to work remotely is cited by 44% of managers as the most important employee retention factor, ahead of compensation (30%). On the employee side, remuneration (38%) remains slightly ahead of telework (36%)”, explains Arthur Meulman, General Manager of jobs.lu.

Asked to position themselves on proposals that might constitute an organizational model of the future, 55% of managers do not agree with the statement “the four-day week is the model of the future of our company”. “While it is necessary to hear and be able to meet the expectations of employees, who are asking for greater flexibility, the challenge is above all to be able to provide them with a better balance on a daily basis between professional and private life, avoiding sources of pressure . As such, longer working days might be a source of stress,” explains Arthur Meulman.
