It was ahead of Gamescom 2022 that Metroids released an official press release earlier this afternoon on Twitter. While highlighting the hard work of the studio teams, Metroids announced the postponement of Flashback 2 for next year. As you know, it is no longer surprising to see studios delay the release of their projects in order to refine their work and offer a successful game to the public.

The studio will share a more precise release date in some time and should reveal more concrete information about Flashback 2 in the coming months. Flashback 2 will be available in 2023 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch.
