Conrad will once once more have to face the Morphs with the help this time of AISHA, a weapon equipped with artificial intelligence. Fans of the first installment should be reassured given that the game’s creator is in charge.

Released in 1992 on the Amiga, the first Flashback constituted a small revolution in the world of video games. Through its animations, its 2D aesthetics and its particular atmosphere, this platform-shooting game has undoubtedly marked many players. More than thirty years later, a second opus will see the light of day.

As a reminder, in the first part, we played Conrad, an agent stricken with amnesia. His goal was to regain his memory while facing the Morphs, aliens who invade the city of New Washington. In the second part, Conrad is still looking for answers regarding him and he will once once more have to face the Morphs, this time with the help of AISHA, a weapon equipped with artificial intelligence.

A first trailer allows us to glimpse a sequel that has the same characteristics as the first part while benefiting from clear graphic improvements.

Flashback 2 is led by Paul Cuisset, the creator of the first game, and the Microids Lyon/Paris teams. Finally, we can note that the voice actor Donald Reignoux (Spider-Man, Harold in Dragons) lends his voice to the character of Conrad in the French version.

The game is scheduled for November 2023 on PS5, PS4, Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch. Limited and collector’s editions are also planned.
