So far, this car is known under the internal code T26, but the Chinese media have unanimously named the crossover the name Chery Tiggo 9. This is the future flagship of the Chinese brand. There is very little information regarding him yet, but the first official photos of the car without camouflage have already been published.
Chery Tiggo 9 is the closest relative of the recently introduced crossover Exeed Yaoguang 4.8 m long. But if the Exeed has a strictly five-seater interior and a roof falling to the stern, then the “nine” body has a more spacious body, and among the options there will be a third row of seats. Also announced are LED matrix headlights and 20-inch wheels.
Unification with Iksid will also be in technology. A 2.0 TGDI turbo engine of the Kunpeng series has already been confirmed (it produces 261 hp in Exid), but there is no information regarding the transmission yet. Yaoguang has a traditional eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, and the Tiggo 9 can get the same set.
The full premiere of Chery’s flagship crossover will take place later, and these cars should appear on the Chinese market in the first half of 2023. Estimated price – 29 thousand dollars.
