It happened in an apartment block in the Gran Misión Vivienda Venezuela.
A five-year-old girl died Thursday night after falling into the pit of an elevator, which apparently opened “suddenly,” police and rescue agencies that arrived at the scene reported.
It happened in tower B of a building of the Gran Misión Vivienda Venezuela located in Quebrada Honda, in the parish of El Recreo, Caracas.
The little girl identified as D. Colmenares apparently fell from the 12th floor of the apartment block.
Officials from the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc), Firefighters from the Capital District and Civil Protection arrived at the scene to remove the body and initiate investigations.
