The little boy was discovered motionless in the non-swimmers’ area by bathers. A doctor administered first aid until the emergency doctor arrived. The child has now succumbed to the after-effects of the swimming accident, the police confirmed a report in the online edition of “Kleine Zeitung” on Monday.
After the incident on August 24, the boy was initially resuscitated before being taken to hospital. The cause of the accident and the duty of supervision are still being investigated. The investigation is being conducted by the Styrian State Office of Criminal Investigation.
