FIVE political parties in Sukabumi Regency have agreed to form a coalition to face the 2024 regional elections. However, this does not rule out the possibility that the coalition will still
opens the door for other political parties who want to join.
The five political parties in the coalition are PKB, PKS, Democrat, PAN and PDI
Struggle. The coalition agreement is stated in the form of a signing
cooperation of all political parties as well as a declaration, on Saturday (4/5).
Chairman of the PKB DPC Sukabumi Regency, Hasim Adnan, said that political communication between political parties had been explored for quite a long time. However, this time there was an opportunity to declare a coalition to face the 2024 regional elections.
“This cooperation agreement is based on various considerations,” said Hasim
to journalists following the coalition declaration.
The coalition of the five political parties has met the requirements for nominating candidates
regent and deputy regent. Results of the 2024 Legislative Election, a combination of the five political parties
got 28 seats in the DPRD consisting of PKB and PKS 7 seats each, PDI Perjuangan 6 seats, Democrat 5 seats, and PAN 3 seats.
However, no figure appeared at the signing of the coalition agreement

Hasim admitted that he did not want to rush into determining the candidate who would be promoted by the party coalition. But he is targeting that by the end of July figures or pairs of candidates for regent and deputy candidates who will be supported by the party coalition will emerge.

“There is a special team that will examine potential names.

Chairman of the Sukabumi Regency Democratic Party DPC, Iman Adinugraha, admitted
We are still continuing to communicate to nominate potential candidates who are considered capable and competent in the 2024 regional elections. Therefore, the time we have now before deciding on potential candidates will be used to select figures.
“The Sukabumi Regency area is very large. We need a figure who really understands the problems and looks for solutions. We don’t want to rush into determining which candidate to nominate. Everything is still in process,” said Iman.
The most important thing for him now is to maintain the consistency of the coalition of the five political parties until they enter the stage of registering candidates with the local KPU. The reason is that the vision and mission of each political party must have the same perception.
