Five people shot in Amazonas

Among the victims is a woman, who has not yet been identified.

Officials of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) deployed an operation last Sunday over the Amazon region and during the field movements they were put on alert for the discovery of five bodies, four men and one woman.

The soldiers went to the Delgado Chalbaud hill, a wooded area in the Amazon area, following receiving information regarding the bodies from the inhabitants of the area.

Journalist Javier Mayorca reported that the five individuals do not have any type of identification and it is presumed that their nationality is Brazilian.

The victims were shot several times with a firearm before being abandoned. This was stated on Twitter by Mayorca, who specified that “four men and one woman were riddled with bullets, and their bodies were abandoned in a wooded area on Cerro Delgado Chalbaud.”

There are no suspects in the case yet. Authorities are working to identify the victims.
