The official opening event is planned for August 26. in the evening at the Šiauliai Cultural Center, MAX Hall, where the Vilnius JJAZZ Ensemble music project RAVE’n’JAZZ will take place. The works are presented by Simonas Šipavičius, Jievaras Jasinskis, and Domantas Razmus, creators of extraordinary talent. The opening of the Šiauliai Nights XIV festival will be dedicated to the presentation of the jazz album RAVE’n’JAZZ.

Famous Lithuanian jazz musicians invite you to immerse yourself in a musical world where it is not clear where one genre begins or ends. Bright melodies, active rhythms and pulsating energy prevail in the album. The composers of the album are Simonas Šipavičius, Jievaras Jasinskis, Domantas Razmus.

RAVE’n’JAZZ moves away from everything the ensemble has done so far. The authors claim that the jazz ensemble is united not only by the music they perform, but also by the musicians themselves. Currently, there are as many as 13 composers in the ranks of “Vilnius JJAZZ Ensemble”. “We experimented and surprised ourselves,” say the authors. And it really is dance music – observes R. Ruokis.

It is necessary to take care of the tickets and do not forget that the event “Sarcasm studies #05” will be held at the Šiauliai State Drama Theater at 21:00 on August 27. This is a continuation of the tradition – the best Lithuanian sarcasm masters Algis Ramanauskas Greitai and Rimas Šapauskas will share their experiences, and the writer Giedrius Drukteinis will moderate the evening.

Giedrius Drukteinis is a writer, journalist, etiquette and posture consultant, regular author of the largest Lithuanian periodicals, lecturer at Vilnius University and Vilnius Academy of Arts, who has been lecturing and conducting seminars for Lithuanian and foreign business, academic and state institutions since 1999.

Actors Algis Ramanauskas Greitai and Rimas Šapauskas aka Peluikai will talk about sarcasm and how it is born on the lips of actors. The not-quite-censorship phenomenon that emerged three decades ago is still alive today. What is the secret of this phenomenon? If you are an adult, then you definitely remember the heroes of “Radioshow”. Students, intellectuals, plumbers and children used to quote them and imitate their voices. Do you remember the Albina doll? It is honorably housed in the MO Museum.

Algis and Rimas did not spare anything – they mocked society’s stereotypes, stupid principles, bluntness, exaggerated patriotism. Some hated them, others couldn’t be happy that with their Bavarians “Radioshow” like a bulldozer passed through a section of the Soviet era, full of yellowed papers, sugar swans from a cake or cans from a once-imported beer.
