The multi-brand car dealership Sonnleitner is one of the largest car dealers in Austria with 17 locations in Vienna, Lower Austria, Upper Austria and Salzburg – with the brands Renault, Dacia, Nissan, Alpine, Ahorn Camp and Triumph motorcycles. Now the portfolio is being expanded to include a new, purely electric car brand: Fisker.
There is currently a finished vehicle, the Fisker Ocean electric SUV. Although this was designed in California, it was developed in Austria (at Magna in Graz) and is also built at Magna. Two more cars are in the pipeline.
Gives two reasons Wolfgang Sonnleitner, head of the car group of the same name based in Leonding, in an OÖN interview, who would speak for the new brand: “The Fisker Ocean is produced in Austria, that’s an argument for (business) customers. And secondly, the product is really good . Nothing rattles, nothing wobbles.” And the current software problems? He sees them as relaxed, says Sonnleitner. “These will be quickly resolved with updates.” Fisker’s current liquidity problems still remain. “I’m relaxed regarding that too, there will be a sponsor,” says Sonnleitner.

The new brand can initially be seen and experienced at three locations: in Leonding, in Salzburg and in Vienna-Donaustadt. Sonnleitner does not fear cannibalization of the existing brands. “The Fisker Ocean appeals to a different clientele.” (shoe)
