Fisker has released additional details regarding its Fisker Rōnin Super GT, an all-electric convertible that was displayed at the company’s first Product Vision Day on August 3, 2023.
“The Fisker Rōnin is for people who love to drive, but who also love automotive art and design and demand that their high-performance vehicles embrace a sustainable future,” said President and CEO Henrik Fisker.
“Our goal was to create a classic grand touring car, updated for the 21st century and designed for customers who want to drive from Los Angeles to Napa Valley on a single charge or hit the highway at constant high speeds without worrying regarding battery capacity. . ”
Fisker opened bookings for Rōnin, an homage to John Frankenheimer’s famous film of the same name, featuring epic car chase scenes, on August 3; early customers might make a $2,000 deposit for the first reservation and a fully refundable $1,000 for the second.
The vehicle will be priced at $385,000, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025. Fisker will produce just 999 vehicles.
Fisker’s goal with Rōnin is to bring exceptional utility to the premium segment of the market, where numerous renowned high-performance manufacturers have introduced SUVs.
In response to this trend, Fisker has designed the Rōnin to seat five people while leveraging electric vehicle design to provide exceptional cargo capacity, a true rarity in the world of supercars.
With a projected 0-60 mph time of approximately two seconds and a top speed of 170 mph (275 km/h), the Rōnin will be able to match or beat any supercar currently on the market while still offering great range. .
The focus will be on driver enjoyment rather than autonomous technologies, although they will be available as needed.
The rear butterfly doors will ensure easy access to the back seat. Only a single door handle will be required, as the front doors are opened electrically by sliding the handle or using a smartphone; the handle is then extended when the rear doors are ready to open.
All doors can be unlocked remotely with a smartphone, and the carbon-fiber folding hardtop will also be activated with a smartphone and automatically retracts into the trunk, leaving some room for luggage; additional luggage space will be available in the front trunk.
The Fisker Rōnin will feature a unique aluminum spaceframe with integrated battery cells to achieve its target range of 600 miles. The lightweight materials will also feature on the 23-inch carbon fiber wheels.
The interior will set new standards for sustainable luxury and use innovative sustainable and recycled materials, with the goal of making Rōnin the most sustainable supercar in the world. The Fisker Rōnin will also have a 17.1-inch high-resolution display and an instrument cluster positioned in front of the driver.
