The situation arose when a young fisherman who was upriver sees the partially submerged body of the woman go by and notifies two other boys who were fishing 200 meters downstream. At that moment one jumped into the river to intercept the path of the woman, who did not respond, and brought her closer to the shore.

Commissioner Barroso Juan Carlos spoke with RÍO NEGRO and highlighted the actions of the fishermen who “did CPR and compensated the woman, if they did not, fate was different.”

He also recognized the importance of having knowledge in resuscitation manoeuvres, and that the staff of police station 24 who came to the scene, He was trained in these actions, which allowed the woman to receive care at all times.
