A 60-year-old fisherman who was reported missing on Wednesday on his way to his boat in the early hours of the morning was found in the belly of a four-meter-high crocodile in Tawau, Malaysia.

“According to the report, the victim was eaten by the crocodile as he was on his way to his boat at 4 a.m. on July 19,” said a spokesman for the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department in Malaysia, according to local media New Straits Times on Sunday.

On the fourth day of intensive searches to find Addi Bangsa, a 60-year-old fisherman, the authorities would have crossed the path of a crocodile of 4.29 meters and 800 kilograms, which they suspected of being behind the disappearance of the sexagenarian, specified for its part the Straits Times.

They then allegedly slaughtered the massive reptile, before dissecting it to find pieces of the victim, including its arms and feet, still inside, according to a graphic video on social media.

“The victim has been identified by family members and the body has been handed over to police for further investigation,” the spokesperson reportedly said, according to local media.
