37 times. Athletes have already fought for top times at the Mattighofner Sparkasse city run so often. Roman Breckner from TSV Mattighofen was responsible for more than half (20) as head of the organization team. Despite all the routine, there was a premiere for the 69-year-old last year: Jürgen Aigner from the LAG Genböck Haus Ried started for the first time. The policeman fought back in 2022 following an operation and demonstrated his improving form at the Mattighofner Stadtlauf: In 33:00.42 minutes he stayed on the 9870 meter long route due to the wind above the course record set by Alex Knoblechner in 2019, but referred the record holder but in second place. For TSV Mattighofen, Gerold Grubmüller completed the podium last year in third place.
Tina Fischl from WSV Otterskirchen won the women’s race in 2022. She met Roman Breckner at the weekend at the trade fair in Ried, where TSV Mattighofen started with nine runners (and was successful). “There she told me that she would come back to Mattighofen,” says the organizer happily. She is not the only runner who has already planned the city run. “This year we already have significantly more pre-registrations than in previous years at this time,” says Roman Breckner, who is happy regarding another fact. “This time there are two mountain bikes to be won in the raffle. One from KTM Bike Industries and one from KTM Sportmotorcycle.” If you want to win and get involved in sports, you should definitely make a note of April 29th.
The 38th Mattighofner Sparkasse City Run – the media partners are the OÖN – will take place on Saturday, April 29, from 3:30 p.m. Registration online at www.tsvmattighofen.at or with Roman Breckner (Tel. 0650/2764307 or by email to [email protected]).
