According to Forbes (Forbes), Nexon Games used icons in “The First Descendant” that are strikingly similar to those in “Destiny 2.” Both sets of icons are from the open-source image group “Sphere Direction” suggesting a shared origin.
In response to the icon controversy, Nexon contacted Forbes, addressing the concern. They stated that the “Destiny 2” team is highly respected and served as an inspiration, emphasizing that “we take the questions raised seriously and have decided to adjust these similar icons to make them more clearly represent the uniqueness of our game. We will also continue to improve this loot-hunting shooting game for our fans.”
