First Prize Lottery Ticket Stolen: ‘Nirbhagyawan’ With Prayer – Lottery Theft | Malappuram

Malappuram: Seven accused have been arrested in the case of stealing the first prize ticket of the state Nirmal lottery. Alavi of Malappuram Mancheri Papinippara lost the first prize ticket worth Rs 70 lakh in the Nirmal lottery last month.

On the 19th of last month, the prize was announced for the ticket taken by Alavi, who runs a tea shop. But within days it was hijacked by a gang. ‘Two people came to me for five or six days continuously saying that if I give them the ticket, they will pay me quickly. But I said that the decision is to give the ticket to the bank and I will not give it to you. They said that if I give it to them, my house will be done immediately and if I give it to the bank, it will take regarding a year to get the money. When two people kept coming and saying this, I agreed to give the ticket.

Then he left his two sons and a friend with the tickets. They took their children and their friend to the car where they came. Then they got into the car following taking the ticket from their children saying that they wanted to take a photo. After showing that the ticket was being scanned, the car suddenly started and left. Mon hung on the car door. He was dragged away for a while. He has minor injuries. They came saying that they will give me 45 lakh rupees on the same day. They were also told to pay two lakh rupees out of that,’ said Alavi. Alavi said that he thought that he would give them the ticket thinking that he would get money soon to finish the house.

Following the incident, the Malappuram District Police Chief formed a special investigation team and took seven people into custody. The arrest was recorded from Palakkad. Police say there are more people in the gang. The lottery department has been informed that even if someone brings stolen lottery tickets, the money will not be made available. The police is checking whose hand the ticket is now.
