As usual, the 2022 high-end OLED TVs from Philips of the OLED907 and OLED937 series were presented at the iF Design Awards 2022. First details and pictures can be found here!
As every year, Philips has once once more secured an iF Design Award for its high-end OLED televisions, which will be available in autumn 2022. This gives us the first images and information that we would like to share with you here:
Philips OLED907 with integrated soundbar and subwoofer
The Philips OLED907 has an integrated Bowers & Wilkins sound system that is located below the display like a integrated sound bar was attached. The whole system is covered with acoustic fabric. On the back we see the free-swinging one attached in the middle Subwoofer, which also covers low frequency ranges and should therefore offer a balanced sound representation across all frequency ranges. The premium remote control is wrapped in leather on both sides and on the back and still relies on a large number of function keys including the 10-number field. An Indian Center mounted stand allows to rotate the OLED907 4K OLED TV. Confirmed sizes are 48, 55 and 65 inches. 3-sided Ambilight completes this highlight TV.
Philips OLED937 with 4-sided Amblight
If you then want something more, you will inevitably end up with the Philips OLED937. The detached Ssound system from Bowers & Wilkins, which also acts as a stand and support for the OLED display, should be able to play Dolby Atmos 3D sound ex works. For this, the system was developed with forward, sideways and upward-firing speakers equipped, all nicely hidden behind acoustic fabric. Since the display seems to be lifted into the air, the TV can also be used with its 4-sided Ambilight really shine. A wall installation would be ideal for this model. Also the OLED937 will Premium remote control enclosed with leather. Interestingly, the premium model is so far only in 77 inches been announced. Let’s see if Philips can get carried away with other model sizes, such as an 83-inch model?
OLED907 and OLED937 with OLED Ex panel?
In the spring of 2022, Philips already presented the OLED807 model series with new OLED Ex panel presented. The new panel from LG Display relies on new deuterium materials, which not only improve the longevity of the panel, but also increase its brightness yield to up to 30 percent. Incidentally, this is also the reason why the OLED807 4K OLED televisions are not yet available for purchase. The delivery of the OLED Ex panels is only scheduled for the middle of the year. It is still unclear whether the OLED907 and OLED937 can also come up with an OLED Ex panel, or just one OLED Evo-Panel mit Brightness-Booster. The images suggest the former.
As always, we will receive detailed information as part of the IFA in Berlin, which is to take place in person once more this year.
