This Thursday, July 18, the First Motopiruetas Meeting “For Life, Peace and Healthy Coexistence” was held in Monagas, an initiative led by Alexander “Mimou» Vargas, Presidential High Commissioner.
This activity was attended by more than 50 representatives of this sport, belonging to the states of Distrito Capital, Monagas, Lara and Miranda, among others.
Vargas reported that the Motopiruetas Route is being carried out throughout the country and has already visited nine states, including Monagas. He also indicated that all 365 municipalities in the country will be visited.
He stressed that, within the framework of President Nicolás Maduro’s initiative to declare motorcycle stunts a national sport, they continue to work hard to establish regulations and standards.
“We have already submitted the regulatory document to the National Assembly to have an ordinance that guarantees the good performance of the motopiruetas. In addition, we plan to carry out a census following the presidential elections, integrated into the Patria System, to count all the practitioners of this discipline.”he said.
“We must grant the necessary permits and provide constant support to young people who engage in this activity,” he pointed.
