First ladies of Guatemala and Costa Rica visit the Princess Diana Foundation in Paraguay

Asunción, IP Agency.- As part of their official visit to Paraguay, the first ladies of Guatemala, Lucrecia Eugenia Peinado Villanueva, and of Costa Rica, Signe Zeikate, visited the Princess Diana Foundation of France. The dignitaries highlighted the transformative impact that the foundation has had in the lives of hundreds of women in vulnerable situations.

During the tour of the workshops, the first ladies highlighted the effort and dedication of the women who participate in the various training programs offered by the foundation.

These programs are focused on areas such as basic molding, hand and machine embroidery, screen printing, sublimation and crafts, and have allowed the economic empowerment of more than 250 women who today have tools to improve their quality of life and fully reintegrate into society.

The Princess Diana Foundation’s mission is to empower women in vulnerable situations, promoting their social, work and family reintegration through innovation and the creation of high-quality garments.

Its work has generated a significant impact on the human and economic development of its beneficiaries, also promoting citizen awareness about the importance of supporting vulnerable sectors.

In the context of this work, the Office of the First Lady of Paraguay and the Princess Diana Foundation launched a new initiative weeks ago that will generate employment for women deprived of their liberty at the “Casa del Buen Pastor” Women’s Penitentiary Center.

This project represents a significant advance in the prison system, offering these women the opportunity to rewrite their stories and reintegrate into society in a dignified and productive manner.

The first ladies valued the importance of these supportive spaces, which not only provide employment opportunities, but also drive hope and positive change in women’s lives.
