Cristiano Ronaldo (37, Manchester United) has scored his 700th professional club goal.

Ronaldo scored the winning goal from the comeback making 2-1 in the first half of the match once morest Everton in the 10th round of the 2022-2023 season at Goodison Park in Liverpool, England on the 10th. It was Ronaldo’s first EPL goal of the season and his 700th goal in his professional club career. United won 2-1 and moved up to fifth place with 15 points (5-3). They are one point behind fourth-placed Chelsea (16 points).

Ronaldo did not start the game once more that day and started the game from the bench. Out of the seven EPL matches played so far this season, he has only started once. Ronaldo was replaced in the 29th minute of the first half following teammate Anthony Martial was injured, and he pierced the opponent’s goal with a left-footed shot 15 minutes following stepping on the ground.

After the match, Manchester United said on their website, “According to FIFA records, Austria-Czech player Josef Bichan (1913-2001) scored more goals for the club than Ronaldo. However, including the A match goal, Ronaldo surpassed Bichan earlier this year.” Bichan has scored 805 goals for both club (779) and national team (26). Ronaldo scored 117 goals in A match, adding up to club goals for a total of 817 goals.

Ronaldo scored his first goal for the club team once morest Moreirens on 7 October 2002 while playing for Sporting CP (Portugal), where he made his professional debut. Sporting CP left a congratulatory message on his 700th goal on the club’s Twitter on the 10th, saying, “Twenty years have passed since Ronaldo scored his first goal.”

Ronaldo scored 450 goals while wearing a Real Madrid (Spain) jersey. He then scored 144 goals for United. He has scored 101 goals for Juventus (Italy) and 5 goals for Sporting CP respectively.

Lionel Messi (35, Paris Saint-Germain), who has split the title of the world’s best striker with Ronaldo for over 10 years, has scored 690 goals for the club.
