Three people died in a sports plane crash in Brittany, France. After taking off, the single-engine machine crashed into a forest in Trémuson on Sunday, 300 meters from the runway, as reported by the France bleu broadcaster, referring to the fire brigade and police. The 62-year-old pilot and his passengers, a younger couple, were killed. According to initial findings, the pilot wanted to initiate an emergency landing and hit a dam in the process. The machine belonged to an aviation club. It took off from the Saint-Brieuc – Armor airfield near the town of Saint-Brieuc.
The pilot died in another plane crash in Brittany on Saturday. When the 66-year-old suffered a heart attack in mid-air, a 32-year-old student pilot accompanying him took over the helm. The woman, who was completing her first flying lesson, still managed to steer the Dragonfly Mk. II machine over built-up areas. After that, the plane crashed into a bog near Plouhinec, like the newspaper “The Telegram” reported. The woman survived the crash practically unharmed.
