Passion, adrenaline and speed will be the ingredients of the first date of the EFC National Enduro and Cross Country Championship, which will be held this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, in the commune of Portezuelo.
The wine commune for the first time opens its doors to host a tournament of this magnitude, marking a milestone in the Ñuble Region, since the main base of operations for the pilots will be installed in the main square of the Itata Valley commune.
René Schuffeneger Salas, mayor of Portezuelo and the Municipal Council, gave all their support to its realization, in order to publicize their commune, its tourist potential and benefits, linked, mainly, to wine tourism, with a unique history and tradition in the territory, in addition to bringing nut sport closer to its community.
“We have high expectations of bringing a national enduro date to our community, for this reason we have put all our efforts, because without a doubt this is a possibility of development, in order to make Portezuelo known,” said the mayor.
Patricio Cabrera, general manager of PCH productions and Chilean driver of the Dakar Rally, mentioned that “it is very nice to see how an entire community devotes itself to a national championship and for this reason we are happy to start in Portezuelo, since they have given us all their support from the first minute.”
