First Community Hepatitis Prevention Center Opens in Sanya, Utilizing VR Technology for Health Education

Original Title: The First Grassroots Hepatitis Prevention and Control Management Center in Hainan Province Opens a VR Science Popularization Museum in Sanya

On the morning of July 26, the first grassroots hepatitis prevention and control management center science popularization museum in Hainan Province was inaugurated at the Hailuo Community Health Service Center in Jiyang District, Sanya.

Establishing the hepatitis prevention and control center at the grassroots level is a specific measure taken by the Sanya Municipal Health Committee to carry out the initiative of “Doing Practical Things for the People.” The aim is to shift the focus of liver cancer prevention and control upstream by promoting the expansion and decentralization of high-quality medical resources, bringing advantageous medical resources to the grassroots level, and conducting comprehensive hepatitis prevention management from the dimensions of “prevention, screening, treatment, management, and rehabilitation” for the “2+3” diseases. This will broaden the initial diagnosis channels for patients with hepatitis B and C, provide medication guidance and medical insurance prescription services for diagnosed patients, and open a green channel for two-way referrals for patients with unclear diagnoses or multiple complications. It further standardizes the procedures for hepatitis prevention and control, effectively achieving a one-stop solution for “treatment, recognition, and medical insurance reimbursement” for hepatitis, continuously enhancing the service capacity of grassroots medical institutions, and allowing the public to enjoy high-quality and convenient medical services right at their doorstep.

The newly inaugurated Hailuo Community Hepatitis Prevention and Control Management Center science popularization museum embodies the innovative integration of digital empowerment and the integration of medical prevention. The museum includes three functional areas: a holographic health science demonstration system, a VR holographic health science interactive system, and a VR virtual reality experience zone. Through the 3D interactive system, the public and patients can gain a more intuitive understanding of diseases. The museum is also equipped with various disease-related department introductions, expert profiles, dietary recommendations, exercise suggestions, and comprehensive health science information to intelligently guide the public in seeking medical treatment correctly and developing a healthy lifestyle, thereby launching a new model for intelligent management services of the full hepatitis process at the grassroots level.

“The reimbursement ratio for outpatient services at the grassroots level is higher than that at major hospitals. We learned through publicity that the medication for treating hepatitis B, such as Peginterferon, costs 3,290 yuan, with 1,500 yuan reimbursed at the hospital, whereas at the Hailuo Community Health Service Center, it only costs over 620 yuan. Such medical services really benefit the people.” Mr. Li, a patient receiving treatment at the designated treatment center in Hailuo Community Health Service Center in Jiyang District, Sanya, stated. “Having experts available at the health service center right at my doorstep makes both consultation and obtaining medication very convenient.”

On the same day, the Hailuo Community Health Service Center also held a free clinic and science popularization activity for “World Hepatitis Day.” Through digital smart science education, distribution of promotional materials, health consultations, free health check-ups, care for hepatitis patients, and reward-based quizzes, the initiative aimed to enhance public awareness of viral hepatitis prevention and control, effectively reduce the burden of disease, and achieve the goal of “eliminating the public health threat of viral hepatitis” as soon as possible.
