Spending Christmas as a health worker means mixed feelings for Martín, since he defines this experience as “rewarding and hard at the same time.” “It is gratifying because you can care for patients who are in a fragile situation and need help. If you can help them, it is very gratifying”, explains the first-year resident.
On the other hand, he considers that it is a difficult experience due to how the patients live it. “It is hard because you see that they have their different problems and personal struggles that worsen during these periods. In addition, they cannot be reunited with their family, they are people who They end up entering and these are not easy moments ”, details Martín, who has spent the 24th doing a “half and half”, that is, working and going to dinner with the family.
The first Christmas without saturation due to covid
