After last week’s leak of the supposed real name d’Assassin’s Creed codename red expected to be released in late 2024, the first details of the next AC game to be released have been leaked: Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe.
The information comes from well-known industry insider Tom Henderson, who has often been right with his predictions in the past and is considered a credible source. As shown in a YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCMlXyuOji4 on the subject, Insider Gaming received images from Codename Hexe with an obligation not to publish them.
First female protagonist with magical powers
Assassin’s Creed Hexe would take place in the 16th century in Central Europe, presumably in the Roman Empire, in a setting of dark witches. At this time the witches’ bonfire was at its peak. And of course, players will play as a witch in the new AC spin-off.
As you might expect, Assassin’s Creed Hexe focuses on a female protagonist named Elsa. Henderson reports a scene where Elsa uses magic to take over the body of a cat and distract the soldiers. She would thus become the first female protagonist in Assassin’s Creed to have magical abilities.
According to Henderson, Assassin’s Creed Hexe will have an intimidation system that matches the witch’s spooky setting, which fans are already familiar with from Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s “Jack The Ripper” DLC.
