Former Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri has reportedly disappeared along with the unclear extortion case against former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo since November 2023.
In the case handled by Polda Metro Jaya, Firli has had suspect status for seven months.
However, in a post on social media, Firli was caught on camera having fun playing badminton with Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Marcus Fernaldi Gideon or The Minions at the Djarum Sports Hall, Jl Slipi I, No. 57, West Jakarta.
Firli was caught on camera playing badminton after his video was uploaded by an account X with the account @caramelscroffle.
“Finally!! Our MINIONS,” tweeted the account @caramelscroffle on the X platform, on Saturday (6/7).
The 0:59 second video shows Firli playing against Marcus/Kevin.

In the video, a voice can also be heard saying, “Don’t let up, keep attacking.”
Responding to this, Hariyanto Arbi, as the event’s organizing committee, said that the match was just a get-together event.
“Just a gathering event. No. [soal Kevin/Marcus kembali main profesional]. if that’s what you ask them [Kevin/Marcus]. we just collect,” said Hariyanto, when confirmed, Saturday (6/7).

Hariyanto also confirmed that the event was held at the Djarum Sports Hall, West Jakarta, on Saturday (6/7) morning.
Hariyanto said that it was not only Kevin/Marcus who played, but there were other legends, such as Tontowi Ahmad, Susy Susanti, and Alan Budikusuma. “Many, there are Susy (Susanti) and Alan (Budikusuma),” he explained.
When asked for information about Firli’s presence in the match at GOR Djarum, Hariyanto said that he did not know about it. “How do you know? I don’t know,” said Hariyanto Arbi.

Firli’s whereabouts were questioned in a meeting between Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives and the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) on Monday, July 1, 2024. KPK Chairman Nawawi Pamolango also claimed that he no longer knew about Firli’s fate.
Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Democratic Faction, Benny K Harman, asked the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) for an explanation of the fate of Firli’s case.
“Please explain what’s wrong with the KPK chairman? Explain it, explain it to the public, not to us so that the public knows, don’t keep quiet. The public doesn’t know what’s wrong with the KPK, the KPK chairman disappeared, how could he just disappear like that?” said Benny.
The KPK could not explain Firli’s whereabouts. Because, Firli’s case is being handled by another institution.
“The image of our institution has indeed been badly damaged by the determination of the previous chairman as a suspect, but it must also be understood that the problems faced by the previous chairman until now are not clear. The case files have only gone back and forth at the Metro Police level and the DKI High Prosecutor’s Office,” said Nawawi.
Unlike most other criminals who are immediately detained as soon as they are named as suspects, Firli has not been detained until today. In fact, there are more and more trial facts that strengthen his acceptance of money from former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo. Recently, Firli did not hesitate to ask for his case to be stopped.
