POLDA Metro Jaya was asked to follow up on the facts of the trial of an alleged corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture which stated that Firli Bahuri asked for IDR 50 billion. It is urgent that the former Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency be detained.
“There is no longer any reason for Polda Metro Jaya to delay detaining Firli Bahuri,” said IM57+ Institute Chair M Praswad Nugraha in a written statement, Sunday, (21/4)
Praswad asked the police to develop information regarding the demand for IDR 50 billion in the trial. Because, he continued, the numbers requested were fantastic.
“The disclosure of these facts should make the police more confident in building this case,” said Praswad.
Delaying detention for Firli is also considered dangerous. Because, he continued, the former three-star general of the National Police was able to intervene with a number of parties to protect himself from the alleged extortion.
“After this information, there is the potential for intervention by Firli in order to hamper the process of handling his case at Polda Metro Jaya,” said Praswad.

Former aide to Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL), Panji Harjanto, revealed that there was a request for IDR 50 billion from Firli Bahuri. This fact was revealed when the prosecutor read the minutes of his investigation (BAP) at the trial.
“Syahrul Yasin Limpo said there was a request for IDR 50 billion from Firli Bahuri,” said Panji when reading the BAP at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, April 17 2024.
Panji became aware of this statement when Syahrul was talking with the former Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery at the Ministry of Agriculture, Muhammad Hatta. In his statement, Panji refused to interfere further.
“I felt it was a secret conversation, so I left the room,” said Panji in the BAP read by the prosecutor.
Panji confirmed the BAP. He believes that the money Firli asked Syahrul for was because of problems at the KPK. (Z-8)
