Fire reported in Villa Africana apartment (+ photos)

There were no people inside the residence at the time of the incident.

A structural fire was reported on the morning of this Saturday, September 3, in a building in the Villa Africana sector, in Puerto Ordaz.

Witnesses to the event reported that they observed smoke coming out of one of the windows of apartment 111, on the 11th floor of Tower C of Residencias Vista Hermosa, at approximately 10:50 a.m.

Officials from the Municipal Fire Department and the National Experimental University of Guayana (Uneg) moved to the site.

The Aeronautical Firefighters truck was also presented, and paramedics from the Emergency Attention Service (Saem) of the Government of Bolívar state.

Around 11:15 am the fire was controlled and extinguished.

The authorities revealed that there were no people in the residence at the time the fire started, so there were no injuries or injured people.

Among the material losses are a water heater, washing machine, kitchen utensils, linens, as well as smoked walls and ceiling.

The place was guarded by uniformed Bolivar State Police. The cause of the flames is unknown at this time.
