The military registration and enlistment office in the village of Ivanteevka (Saratov region) was set on fire by the ex-deputy of the Znamensky municipality Daniil Akimov. This is reported by the Baza telegram channel.

“In the morning [23 декабря] law enforcement officers detained the arsonist himself – 41-year-old Daniil Akimov, ”the telegram channel writes, specifying that in 2011 Akimov was a deputy of the Znamensky municipal formation from the United Russia party. As journalists noted, the detainee did not deny his guilt and admitted that he set the fire “just like that, for the sake of hooliganism.”

The fire in the building of the military registration and enlistment office in the village of Ivanteevka, Saratov region, occurred on the night of December 23. As a result of the incident, the duty officer’s office was most damaged, which they tried to set on fire – they found a bottle with gasoline residues there. Emergency services were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to other areas.

URA.RU sent a request to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Saratov region and United Russia regarding the identity of the arsonist of the military registration and enlistment office. No response has been received so far.
