In the Pskov region, the Rimsky-Korsakov Museum-Reserve, located in the village of Lyubensk, Plyussky district, is being rescued. This was reported by the Governor of the region Mikhail Vedernikov.
On July 2, the museum caught fire, according to preliminary data, due to the carelessness of the builders. They blocked the roof of the estate, using open fire. Photographs of the fire show its severity.
“All the necessary forces and means for extinguishing are already in place. However, the flames spread very quickly throughout the building. It is already clear that the damage will be significant. This is an object of cultural heritage of federal significance. Together with our colleagues from the government, we will do everything possible to restore the estate,” the governor wrote in his telegram channels.
