Flames and thick smoke might be seen in the morning above an industrial area in the Lüttringhausen district of Remscheid. There, a fire broke out in the hardening shop of a metal processing company. 150 firefighters were busy putting out the fire. The last embers are currently being extinguished with foam.
Mixture of oil and acids burned
A mixture of oils and acids caught fire in the hardening shop that morning. An employee who was alone in the company was able to escape in time. Close windows and doors and turn off ventilation and air conditioning“, so the fire brigade and had a big request to witnesses, drivers and residents: “Do not block the emergency call from the fire brigade and police by asking questions.”
