A fire broke out on Thursday morning (1.8.2024) in Koropi near houses, as a result of which the Fire Brigade was immediately mobilized.
For the fire in Koropi, a 112 message was sent to the residents of the area to move away from the area of Megalo Metohi and Agia Marina, towards Koropi – Agia Marina Avenue.
In the battle to extinguish the fire, aerial means of the Fire Department are operating, namely 2 aircraft and 5 helicopters.
At the same time, 75 firefighters with 4 infantry units and 20 vehicles are fighting the flames.
The fire broke out on Karpathou Street, in the area of Agia Marina and is located near a residential area, specifically near Charavgi, Dimitra, Imvrou and Spartis streets.
For the fire in Koropi, 112 messages have been sent to evacuate the area.
Shortly after 12:00 a 112 message was sent to evacuate three areas in Koropi, inviting the residents of the Megalo Metohi, Xelaftaki and Agia Marina areas to head towards Agios Dimitriou Street and Paraliaki Avenue.
The fire department is fighting to prevent the fire from spreading to the houses.
