The fire broke out in a building and other houses were also evacuated, the “Tiroler Tageszeitung” reported. Nobody got hurt. Although the fire was quickly contained, extinguishing the fire was difficult due to thick smoke coming from the roof structure.
The flames probably broke out in the sauna area and immediately spread to the entire wooden building, it was said. The majority of residents can return to the chalets during the night. The affected building, however, was burned out and uninhabitable. Seven fire departments, including from surrounding communities, were on duty.
