Fire in a farm in Bonneville: the disaster is total

During the night from Friday to Saturday, shortly following midnight, a fire broke out in an agricultural area in Bonneville (Andenne, province of Namur), affecting a shed and a stable. There were no casualties but the loss was total.

The firefighters of the NAGE zone went to the scene with a pumper, a tank truck and a large ladder. Given the extent of the blaze, two other tank trucks, of 8,000 and 14,000 liters, were called in as reinforcements. “We had to let the buildings burn and above all ensured that the fire did not spread to the neighboring fields.“, explains Pierre Bocca, the commander of the NAGE rescue zone.

The fire has been under control since Saturday noon but two firefighters are still on site and are watering the scene. “They will stay there all day Saturday and certainly also part of the night.“, adds Pierre Bocca.

Both buildings are completely destroyed. No casualties were reported.
