Fire engulfs former Soviet aircraft carrier in China

The cause of the fire and the current state of Minsk remain unknown. Local authorities said the fire broke out around 4:00 p.m. local time, that there were no casualties and that the incident is under investigation.

Minsk served the Soviet Navy and the Russian Navy from 1978 to 1994. She was the second Kiev-class vessel built.

From 2000 to 2016 it was turned into a theme park, known as Minsk World, in Shatoujiao, China.
