“Although today the risk of fires in several areas of the country was very high, the awareness and attention of the citizens brought results. The number of fires remained at 26 in the last 24 hours. However, 8 of them required the assistance of aerial means, while 2 broke out in Attica near settlements: The first in Agios Ioannis in Spata and the second in Paiana. With the immediate intervention of air and ground forces, they were controlled in just 20 minutes. Winds will continue to be very strong over the weekend, so extreme caution is required.”
