Fire consumes well-known supermarket in Guadalajara (Video)

GUADALAJARA.- An intense fire broke out inside the Walmart Zapopan, in Guadalajara, Jalisco.

As a result of the incident, outside the supermarket, a huge column of black smoke could be seen, which reached several meters high.

Around 2:00 p.m., a strong fire broke out that consumed a Walmart chain supermarket located on Periférico and Guadalupe avenues.

According to the governor of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaroonly material damage is recorded. None of the workers and customers of the commercial store were injured.

Citizens were urged to avoid the fire area to avoid potential dangers.

The traffic on Aladeña avenues was also recorded during the work of the emergency services and the corresponding investigations.

Firefighters and personnel Civil Protection lThey arrived at the site to put out the fire.

“The situation was critical, but thanks to the coordination between firefighters and Civil Protection, we managed to control the fire and avoid any further damage,” declared a Civil Protection officer.

The causes of the accident are unknown at this time.

The commercial store will remain closed during the investigation and while necessary repairs are made.
