Cologne – Schlager star Beatrice Egli (35) released her new studio album “Balance” on July 1, 2023. The title of the record seems to be symbolic of the current phase of the pop singer’s life: between TV appearances, concerts and photo shoots, it can be a challenge for Beatrice to find a balance that works. That’s why, as the “DSDS” winner from 2013 revealed, she regularly takes a well-deserved break despite her busy schedule. This is the only way she is able to overcome burgeoning self-doubt.

Although Beatrice Egli, one of the biggest German pop stars of all time, has had an absolute showcase career since her first appearance on “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, the pop singer has always had to struggle with negative thoughts in the past. In an interview with “t-online” she says: “In life I often had the feeling that I hadn’t arrived. Today I am happy regarding it, because for me the way to the goal is much more exciting. With all these changes, I keep getting to know myself better.”

According to Beatrice Egli, especially at the beginning of her career, it was not easy not to compare herself with other artists. Today, however, she has largely overcome this self-doubt. “I used to compare myself to others. Be it my voice or my physique. Looking left and right is part of growing up. But that’s behind me,” she says openly in the interview.

I put so much heart into these songs and I hope people embrace the changes.” For “Balance” the 35-year-old worked for the first time with her current production team. In Egli’s opinion, the new collaboration can be clearly heard in the songs on the album.
