After the invasion of Ukraine on February 24, the Russian army withdrew from the Kharkiv region in the northeast, which had been occupied all along, seems to have left its newest main tank, the T-90M.

On the 18th (local time), the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine wrote on its official Twitter, “Russian state-of-the-art tank T-90M has been found in the Kharkiv region” and “in perfect condition”.

It is known that the Russian military has only about 100 T-90Ms, which cost 6.3 billion won per unit.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense also released photos taken inside and outside the tank.

External photos show the tank lying in the woods covered in camouflage cloth. The fabric covering the tank is engraved with a white ‘Z’. It means Russian tank.

The interior photos are of the transmission and various buttons for tank adjustment.

Ukraine’s defense ministry even taunted the tank’s owner, saying, “I want the owner of this tank to contact the Ukrainian military” and “raise a white flag to reveal his identity.”

The Washington Post previously reported that several tanks and armored vehicles were found in Kharkiv.

Therefore, if the claim of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense is true, it can be interpreted that the tank was not taken care of as the Russian army quickly retreated.

Meanwhile, it was discovered that Russian forces committed atrocities, including electric torture and murder, in Kharkiv, a region recently restored by Ukrainian forces.

According to a BBC report on the 13th, there are allegations that the Russian military used electric torture and even murdered local residents in Baraklia, Kharkiv, which the Ukrainian army recaptured.

Serhi Bolbinou, a senior police officer from Baraklia, said on Facebook that the Russian military regularly tortured detainees at the local police station.

Artem, a resident of Baraklia, said that he had been detained for 46 days at the local police station used by the Russian military as its headquarters and that he was also tortured with electricity.

Another detainee added that he was detained for 25 days for holding the Ukrainian flag.

School principal Tatiana also said she had been held for three days at the police station and heard screams in another cell.

It is reported that about 450 mass burial sites were also found in Izium in the northeast of Ukraine.
