The history

Through a post on the social network Twitter, a client in India shared her bad experience when ordering through the platform deliveryBlinkit, a bag of bread and receive it with a live rat.

According to his viral post, it shows how the rodent is inside the bag of sandwich bread that the delivery man of the application brought him, which in that country is like an Uber Eats and Rappi.

“A live rat was delivered inside the bread package,” wrote horrified shopper Nitin Arora, adding that it was the “most unpleasant experience” he has ever had.

According to publications in international media such as the New York Post, the buyer was craving a sandwich, so she bought through Blinkit and unfortunately when the delivery order came she discovered that the bread had the rodent on it.

“And [una] 10 minute delivery has so much baggage, I’d rather wait a few hours,” he said on Twitter.

For their part, the response from Internet users was disgusting, where many criticized the work of the delivery man. “How can the delivery man deliver this? I’m surprised,” said another of this chilling find. “It seems that his service will be very useful for cat lovers instead of bread lovers”, said another.

The brand’s response

Other cases that demonstrate delivery failures

These kinds of complaints regarding delivery app failures have gone viral in various parts of the world, including Mexico, as an example in Peru, a Twitter user shared the act of a Rappi delivery man, who, she says, pretended to deliver her order.

According to what he says in his tweet, “he delivery He came home, took a photo pretending that it was delivered, wished me a happy day and took it away.. In addition, he shared the images captured by the surveillance cameras where the application worker is seen taking a photo of the order.

After that incident, the brand’s response was that it would follow up on what happened and send the case to the “specialized area.”

Just like that case there are others, where even brands like Walmart and Bodega Aurrerá have been affected by the problems of parcels, where some consumers buy through electronic commerce and when they receive their orders, only the packaging arrives.

In the midst of this scenario, social networks have increasingly become a fast way of communication between brands and consumers, who turn to these media when they have a complaint like all these cases.
