The city of São Paulo had a 28% increase in motorcycle robberies and thefts in the first four months of 2023 compared to the same period last year, according to a study by the security consulting firm B4 Risk, cited by the UOL Carros portal.
Among the reasons for the increase in these cases (14,408 registrations once morest 11,295 in the first half of 2022), is the increase in demand for new motorcycles, given the increase in car prices, and informal jobs that use vehicles. In 67% of the cases, the vehicles were stolen, that is, they were taken without using force or threat.
