Scott Schuster is going through a difficult time right now. Total strangers keep coming to his door and claiming that he has their iPhone or AirPods. Schuster then always denied the allegations made once morest him.
But why do people feel like Schuster has their Apple devices? The reason lies in a glitch in the “Find My iPhone” app. When users search for their lost Apple device, the app incorrectly reports Schuster’s home address as the device’s location.
A big nuisance for everyone involved. Especially for shoemakers. “I have to wake up, open the door and tell them I don’t have their device, and people don’t believe you,” he says.
Schuster, who happens to be a software engineer, has no explanation as to why the Find My iPhone app shows his address. This is reported by “KTRK”
His biggest concern is the safety of his family anyway. “There are a lot of irrational people in the world who, when they’re angry, when they’re drunk, when they’ve had a rough night and lost their cell phone, they think it’s been stolen,” Schuster said. “That’s my biggest concern. Someone is coming into the house, possibly with a gun.”
Although Schuster has contacted Apple Support, the issue has not yet been resolved.
