Financing for works in the San Martín and Rossi hospitals

A total of 76 million pesos will be allocated to 14 Buenos Aires hospitals to strengthen the health system through the Organized Medical Care System (SAMO), the provincial health portfolio reported today

The Minister of Health, Nicolás Kreplak, when signing the financial assistance agreements today, stated that the cost recovery system by SAMO, “is a method that allows us today that many hospitals can acquire small appliances, or carry out maintenance works financed”.

The SAMO allows the recovery of hospital costs to be invested in improvements to the operation and maintenance of provincial health establishments.

In this regard, the undersecretary of Health Care and Attention, Alexia Navarro, stated that “it is very important to have a detailed record of the practices that are carried out in Buenos Aires hospitals so that later the billing returns in resources such as works, equipment and, in addition, , improve the salary of the workers”.

Meanwhile, the Technical, Administrative and Legal Undersecretary, Victoria Anadón, said that in these more than two years of management “the entire SAMO system has improved a lot and that has to do with the people who work to make it happen.”

Wilde Hospital will receive financial support for the renovation and repair of the heating and cooling system, rooms, pharmacy service, emergency exits, and pathogenic waste deposit.

Equipment will also be purchased for the Dentistry service and an electro coagulator from that health center.

Meanwhile, the “San Martín” Hospital of La Plata will use the resources to repair the automation system of the establishment’s general board, and the repair of the automotive shed; while the “Videla Dorna” of Monte, will make improvements to the roof of the “Néstor Kirchner” rehabilitation center, and in the dining room, internal kitchen, laundry room and storage area.

Also, through this system, the “Mercante” hospital in José C. Paz will carry out the integral repair of pipes, will carry out the drilling of wells with a well pump and a drinking water treatment plant with a scale filter, among other works to improve the hospital water and sanitation system. In addition to the installation of the electrical panel.

In the “Mi Pueblo” hospital in Berazategui, meanwhile, the renovation of the Pathological Anatomy Service chamber, morgue, laboratory and administration area will be carried out, and the sector will be equipped with mobile stretchers and equipment. While at the “Oñativia” hospital in Almirante Brown, equipment will be purchased for the Speech Therapy, Neonatology, and Ophthalmology Service.

Other hospitals that will receive part of this amount are: “Dardo Rocha” in Cañuelas, where building and electricity improvements will be made; the “Iriarte” of Quilmes, which will carry out the integral repair of the floors of the UPA 17; the “Penna” of Bahía Blanca, which will use it to acquire equipment, among others; air conditioning, videolaparoscopy tower, and a box of instruments.

For its part, the Tandil Airway Center will make spare parts in the Laboratory; the “Taraborelli” of Necochea will buy equipment and supplies for the socio-labor devices that work in the establishment; Merlo’s “Malvinas” will repair its cold room; the “Rossi” will refurbish the diagnostic imaging, coronary unit and pathological anatomy sectors. And, finally, the “San Felipe” of San Nicolás will allocate the amount obtained to repair the arch in “C” for the operating room service.
