The Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Majed Al-Hogail, confirmed that the real estate financing system in Saudi Arabia has reached maturity, pointing out that 800,000 financing contracts have been reached within four years, with a value of 400 billion riyals, while 300,000 housing units will be announced, expected to be built during the five years. In partnership with the private sector, 147,000 units are located in Riyadh.

He indicated that the financing ratio was 7.6 percent in 2019, and is currently 4.5 percent, with banks calculating the profit margin, as the margin ratio for banks decreased from 3.92 percent to 1.62 percent currently, compared to the best global rates of 1.5 percent.
