Attending the KB Soho Mentoring School meeting… Listening to the opinions of the self-employed
The Financial Supervisory Service Chairman Lee Bok-hyeon said on the 5th that he would do his best to reduce the financial burden of the underprivileged, such as supporting the government’s various financial support measures for people’s livelihood, such as the Startup Fund, without any setbacks.
President Lee attended the ‘Visiting KB Soho Mentoring School’ meeting held at KB Kookmin Bank’s Yeouido headquarters in the followingnoon of the same day and said, “The difficulties of the self-employed and small business owners are continuing due to the rise in interest rates and the prolonged Corona 19.”
KB Soho Mentoring School is a program in which expert mentors educate the self-employed who are experiencing difficulties in business, such as sales techniques, and since 2020, it has been operated in a direct way to visit business sites.
At the meeting, President Lee met with the mentoring school attendees, including young self-employed people and small business owners affected by COVID-19, to hear their opinions on the support effect of consulting and difficulties in business.
In a remark at the meeting, President Lee said, “If the voluntary support efforts of the private sector such as financial companies are added, it will be of great help in overcoming the current difficulties.” It is very encouraging to expand the scope of support to non-financial services.”
He said, “I think a management consulting program for the self-employed, such as the visiting KB Soho Mentoring School, is a good example of providing practical help to the self-employed.” The obstacles identified in the process will be promptly improved in cooperation with relevant ministries.”
