CNBC’s Jim Cramer on Friday highlighted six retail winners that investors should line up to buy because of their stellar quarters.
“Panic doesn’t make money,” he said.WMT-US) and Target (TGT-US) and you’ve made a big mistake, and you know, with the market trending down from here, any decline in these stocks is a buy point. “
Soaring U.S. inflation following dismal results from Walmart and Target has prompted consumers to shop more cautiously and seek better prices at lower prices. Cramer noted that some retailers whose business models were strong enough to fight inflation or sell cheap goods had strong quarters.
Separately, supply chain issues, such as tight auto supplies due to semiconductor shortages, also helped fill in the retail stock data.
Here are Cramer’s 6 retail winners:
- AutoZone (AZO-US)
- Williams-Sonoma (WSM-US)
- Dollar General (DG-US)
- Dollar Tree (DLTR-US)
- Macy’s (M-US)
- Costco (COST-US)
Cramer Supplement, Best Buy (BBY-US) and Dick Sporting Goods (DKS-US) is also worth mentioning, as their earnings numbers were also impressive, but not far beyond expectations.
